Ethan and Hannah Anderson: Family feels Ethan is child killed in house fire (videos, photos)

While an Amber Alert was issued on August 5, 2013, in the case of missing 8-year-old Ethan Anderson and his 16-year-old sister Hannah, family members have expressed belief that the body of a child found in a burned home is that of Ethan's.

The children's mother, Christina Saincome Anderson's body was retrieved from the burned home along with that of a child. DNA testing is underway to make an exact identification, but family members say Christina only had two children.

James "Jim" DiMaggio was considered a platonic friend of the family who the kids referred to as "Uncle Jim" and who had offered to keep an eye on the family while the children's father was out of town on business. DiMaggio is currently wanted for murder and arson, and reports have surfaced from Hannah's friends suggesting that DiMaggio had confided in the teen that he had a "crush" on her.

It is unclear whether DiMaggio fled with Hannah Anderson to Mexico or Canada or if he has taken the young teen to an area near the home where he is holding her against her will.

You may view a press conference held by San Diego County Sheriff Lt. Glenn Giannantonio of homicide below. Along with HLN and CNN news reports, that discuss the possibility that Ethan is the child's body found in the burning home.
